FOR EMERGENCY CLOSURES CALL:518-285-4627

THIS WEB PAGE WAS UPDATED ON DECEMBER 18, 2020

If you have been sent a summons for STANDBY grand jury service beginning the week of January 4, 2021, please read carefully.

Please be aware that we currently have a grand jury sworn and working regularly.  The purpose of your service is to be ‘on call’ in the event that the current grand jury becomes compromised (falls below the quorum amount). Should this happen, you will be then be asked to appear for grand jury selection.

At this time, please go to www.nyjuror.gov and click on TEXT AND EMAIL ALERTS. Follow the instructions to update/verify your cell number and email address.

You should begin checking our instructions on line or by phone on Thursday evening, December 31, 2020 for any instructions.

When your term begins, this office will send you regular notifications as well as placing them on our website (nyjuror.gov/Schenectady) and on our message hotline (518-285-8700) for your use.

Again, this is STANDBY grand jury service only at this time.  Please DO NOT appear at the courthouse.  If you have further questions, please call the office at 518-285-8516 or email at Schenectadyjury@nycourts.gov
