When Reporting:
*Social Distancing measures are in effect. Each courtroom is cleaned before and after reporting juror panels.
*Jurors will appear in small groups of approximately 25 people.
*Magnetometer/Temperature screening upon entering.
*Bring your summons with you. Complete and separate "Part H" as it will be collected upon arrival.
*Bring your own mask , pen, and water (due to safety guidelines there are no water fountains in the courthouse.)(Note: Vented masks are not permitted)

Please DO NOT appear at the Courthouse if:
​
•You are currently experiencing flu like symptoms (fever, cough or shortness of breath)
•You have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days
•You have been directed to quarantine/self-monitor for COVID-19 by a medical authority or employer
•You are the caregiver for/have had close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days

What to Expect When You Appear:

Health Screening upon entrance

Regular deep cleaning of Court facilities with enhanced cleaning of common areas

Limited numbers present in Courthouse at any time

Plexiglass barriers at various locations

Indicators (such as taping) to enforce social distancing

Hand sanitizer for all court visitors

Public Water Fountains will be unavailable

Bring books/magazines/electronic devices, if needed

General Information
Absence of Emergency: If illness or emergency prevents you from reporting, please call at 518-267-3160 after 8:30 am on the day you are to report. You can also email columbiajury@nycourts.gov. On jury selection days, we are not able to answer the phones. Please be patient. We will return your call or email.
​
Accessibility: If you have a disability and need accommodation, call 518-267-3160 or 1-800-662-1220 for relay call.
​
Court Hours: Court normally operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm., with a lunch hour and breaks throughout the day. . You cannot enter the building before 9:00 am.
​
Electronics: Cell phones and other electronic devices may be used in the jury assembly rooms and other waiting areas. They must be turned off during jury selection and trial. There is public access WIFI in the County courthouse.
​
Meals: There is a mid-day lunch break everyday.
​
Parking/Transportation: The court does not pay for transportation fares, parking fees or parking violations. Reporting jurors are discouraged from parking at parking meters as court schedules may not permit you to replenish the meter.
​
Security: Court Officers are stationed throughout the court. Members of the public must pass through a magnetometer to enter. Please arrive early and allow extra time for this process.
