The New York State Court System never asks for a juror's financial or family information.

Do not give this kind of information to anyone claiming to represent the court.

If you receive a suspicious request, contact the Commissioner of Jurors.

Supreme/County Trial jurors (red summons form): You are on standby.  Juror alert message instructions are issued after 6:00 p.m. on the last business day before a person's service date.  Instructions are updated by 6:00 p.m. daily, until the term of service is complete.  Juror alert instructions may be found below OR you may call (716) 280-6455 to hear a recorded message.

Grand Juror (blue summons form), City Court Juror (also red summons form) and Town/Village Jurors (yellow summons form): You must read SECTION C of your summons form for your specific instructions.

Please read this entire message.

Jurors with #s 1 – 63:  please report on Monday, February 24th, to the Niagara County Courthouse, 2nd Floor Courtroom, located at 175 Hawley St, at Park Ave., in Lockport.  The courthouse doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and you must arrive by 8:45.  Please complete Section H of your summons before you arrive and bring the entire summons with you.  All jurors must enter through the Park Ave. security entrance, but additional parking is available on the Niagara St side of the building, if needed. On street parking is also available.

Jurors with #s 65 - 249:  you are hereby instructed to check this message again on Monday, February 24th, after 6:00 pm, for further instructions.

General Information

Absence or Emergency:  If illness or emergency prevents you from reporting, please call us at (716) 280-6450 after 8:30a.m. on the day you are to report

Court Hours:  Court normally operates from 9:00a.m.--4:30p.m. with a lunch hour and breaks throughout the day.  Court sessions rarely continue beyond 5:00p.m.  The Commissioner of Jurors office is open Monday - Friday, from 8:00a.m. -- 5:00p.m.

Accessibility:  If you have a disability and need accommodation, call (716) 280-6450 or 1-800-662-1220 for relay calls.

Electronics:  Cell phones and other electronic devices may be used in the Jury Assembly Room and other waiting areas.  They must be turned off during jury selection and trial.  There is public access WiFi in the County Courthouse.

Meals:  There is a mid-day lunch break everyday.  Several area restaurants are available within a short walking or driving distance.  Please ask court staff for suggestions if you are not familiar with the area.  If you prefer, you may also bring your lunch.  Meals are provided only to deliberating jurors.  All other meals are the responsibility of the jurors.

Parking/Transportation:  The court does not pay for transportation fares, parking fees or parking violations.  Reporting jurors are discouraged from parking at meters as court schedules may not permit you to replenish the meter

Security:  Court Officers are stationed throughout the court.  Members of the public must pass through a magnetometer to enter.  Please arrive early and allow extra time for this process.

Weather and Emergency Closings:  Jurors are instructed to check local radio/television listings.  In the event of a facility closing, information will be posted on the juror alert message phone line, main office line and this website as soon as it becomes available.
