Important Notice from the Commissioner of Jurors

The NYS Unified Court System would like to assure you that your health and safety remain a top priority for us as we resume essential court operations and jury service in Oneida County. For your protection many precautionary measures including safety protocols have been implemented. The Jury staff is committed to your wellbeing while you participate in this Jury Process.

What to Expect When You Appear:

• Regular cleaning of court facilities with enhanced cleaning in the Jury area.

• A separate entrance designated for Jurors only to enter the Courthouse - See below: Court Specific Policies

• Mandatory use of face masks by court personnel and court visitors:

  • Please bring your own mask/face covering.

• Plexiglass barriers may be present at various locations throughout the facilities.

• Hand sanitizers throughout the courthouse for all court visitors.

Please note the following: 

• Jurors MUST bring their own pen and take their pen with them when they leave.

• Commissioner of Jurors will continue to provide Jurors with public wi-fi.

• Jurors may bring their own resealable beverage and snack.

Court Specific Policies:

Jurors will enter the Utica Courthouse entrance on the Elizabeth Street side of the Courthouse. This ground floor entrance of the Courthouse faces Elizabeth Street with green signs (Jurors Entrance Only) with social distancing markers outside and inside of the Courthouse.
