NOTICE FROM COMMISSIONER OF JURORS

 

In light of public health concerns arising over the coronavirus, there will be no new jury trials commenced until further notice.

​

If you are a juror currently serving on a GRAND JURY, you ARE required to appear to continue your service.  Please continue to call the District Attorney's Office for GRAND JURY reporting instructions.

​

If you received a Summons for STANDBY GRAND JURY service beginning January 5, 2021, please be aware that the purpose of your service is to be "on call" in the event that the current grand jury becomes compromised (falls below the quorum level).  Should this happen, you will be asked to appear for grand jury selection.  Please begin calling in on January 4, 2021 as instructed on Part "C" of your Summons.

**Before you report, please answer all questions on Part "H" of your summons. Do not tear apart the form. The entire document will be collected when you check in**

We never call and ask you for personal information.  NEVER give out personal information over the telephone.

​

General Information

Absence of Emergency: If illness or emergency prevents you from reporting, please call at 518-480-6330 after 9:00 am on the day you are to report.

​

​

Accessibility: If you have a disability and need accommodation, call 518-480-6330 or 1-800-662-1220 for relay call.

​

Court Hours: Court normally operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm., with a lunch hour and breaks throughout the day.  Court sessions rarely continue beyond 5:00 pm.

​

Court Delays: In case of inclement weather, listen to your local TV or Radio Stations, check this website, or call 518-285-4627 for information on court closing or delays.

​

Electronics: Cell phones and other electronic devices may be used in the jury assembly rooms and other waiting areas.  They must be turned off during jury selection and trial.  There is public access WIFI in the County courthouse.

​

Meals: There is a mid-day lunch break everyday.  There are several food establishments within a mile of the Municipal Center.

​

Parking/Transportation: The court does not pay for transportation fares, parking fees or parking violations.  You may park your car in the front of the building or wherever a space is available.  There is no charge for parking.

​

Security: Court Officers are stationed throughout the court.  Members of the public must pass through a magnetometer to enter.  Please arrive early and allow extra time for this process.
